Greetings, and welcome to my portfolio web site. My name is Michael (Ozzie) Osborn. I am a former homeless Veteran and got interested in Web Design while living in San Francisco. I have a couple of certificates in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. But, I hadn’t really planned on going beyond the hobby stage of this new interest. Then the idea occurred to me: why not begin earning money as a freelance Web Designer. I’m also not adverse to obtaining employment with a Web Design company in order to gain experience and develop my skill set.
Of course a person could use one of the many online website building tools or a WYSIWYG editor, but I find that it is much more rewarding to learn the code and the technology behind the scenes. I have better control over the site and it is easier to make small changes. Also, I get to satisfy my aesthetic abilities. Therefore I am branching out into many areas of design work, such as: graphic design, desktop publishing, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
I am continuing my education in this field and am going to learn as much as I can about designing the very best interactive sites.
Since this is a new business adventure I don’t have much to offer as a portfolio. It is still a work in progress. I haven’t actually designed any published websites. I will work on some fictional websites to buttress up this portfolio as the inspiration comes upon me. It is also a learning tool.
